Erika Merz, (she/her), is born, raised and currently rooted on unceded Duwamish and Coast Salish lands, aka Seattle. The core of her work, Rise Up with H’ART, focuses on reclaiming spiritual empowerment through energy work, dance and visionary art infused with a radical, racial justice and decolonial lens and the vision to awaken collective, heart-centered action for healing and radical culture change. 

Her work is inspired by the way she experiences divine energy (especially when dancing!) and by movements for social change. She carries strong intentions to empower people, to remember our divinity, the wisdom and purpose of our lives, and to awaken collective, heart-centered action for healing and radical culture change.

Erika is a spiritual empowerment guide, avid ecstatic “energy” dancer, prayerful sorceress, visionary artist, facilitator and prison abolitionist who loves deep conversations and spontaneous prayer. 

Erika is a white, cis, mostly straight, woman, second generation German Jewish on my mom’s side, mixed European ancestry on my father’s side, who carries lots of privilege and a passion to re-humanize and re-spiritualize our society.
